The article considers the most common ways of removing the road markings:
- painting over the road marking lines with the paints coinciding in color with the road pavement;
- mechanical removal of the marking lines by special mechanisms - demarcers or road cutters, which provide the necessary quality of work;
- removing the markings with the help of chemical elements;
- removal of the marking lines by a hydraulic method (high pressure water);
- removal of the material manually in case of demarcation of polymeric strips, plastic elements.
The equipment for the road marking removal by the considered ways is given, advantages and
disadvantages are determined.
