Introduction. It was established that the increase of the bitumen cost and the load on the pavement design prompts the use of cement concrete for road pavement. Analysis of construction, reconstruction and overhaul projects of public roads has showed that the number of projects using both the cement concrete pavement and pavement designs using cement concrete layers is increased.
Problem statement. The search for technological and economic solutions for arrangement of road pavement layers requires to study the experience of using the non-traditional technologies for Ukraine, in this case – rolled extra hard cement concrete. Each non-traditional and «new» technology for Ukraine needs for further studied during application in the local conditionals. It is also a study of the impact on the durability of equipment and mechanisms for pavement arrangement, study of local materials, study of operational conditions, etc.
Purpose. The purpose of the article is content analysis of world experiences of the research of technologies and possibilities for using the rolled cement concrete in industrial and civil construction, as well as the task statement for the application of the same materials and technologies in Ukraine.
Materials and methods. Provided domestic and foreign Analysis of publications related to experience of using the rolled cement concrete in industrial and civil construction.
Results. It is established that cement concrete roads are able to take the loads from heavy good vehicles without rutting and destruction. The analysis showed that the technology of rolled extra hard cement concrete allows carrying out the arrangement of cement concrete pavement with high operational performance using the asphalt pavers and rollers and the possibility to carry out the movement on the cement concrete pavement after 1-3 days. Thus, in cases of the need for the rapid commissioning of a road or a parking, the technology of rolled extra hard cement concrete is most effective. The analysis allows forming the new tasks of research of the technology of rolled extra hard cement concrete for road construction, namely, the study of the properties of rolled cement concrete in the Ukrainian highway structures and the establishment of the economic effect of the use of local Ukrainian materials.
Conclusions. Review of the research and experience of using the rolled cement concrete has confirmed the efficiency and prospects of using this technology in Ukraine.
