The choice method of high-way bridges schematic pattern on navigable rivers is offered. The span structures are made from steel trusses with parallel chords. If the lengths of both navigable spans are known the optimum
pattern design is directed to determination of span number and span lengths in other parts of bridge as well as height of trusses and number of panels in them are also determined. Numerical examples are presented. The method is intended for the initial stages of planning.
